We didn't encounter any problems or errors when we used this product.
Matador lacks the customization abilities that some of the higher ranked products offer, but it provides a few options. You can customize settings for people, companies, messages, and even allow a mailing list of your choice. Matador also provides a graphical report of the junk mail received.
Matador relies on a unique filtering process that sends a graphical response back to the unknown message's email address. The sender will be required to respond to how many kittens they see in the image. If they respond, the sender will be added to your approved list. If you subscribe to mailing list this will become a problem. This will help you determine if the message came from a real person or a computer generated spammer. You can turn this option off if you are afraid of annoying your friends. It also filters based on a collaborative community. We also found that the product didn't catch what it should and blocked mails that it shouldn't have. More so than other products we reviewed.
Overall, Matador 3.5 is an average Spam filtering package. Accuracy of spam detection was not up to the competition. The interface is attractive and designed to be user-friendly, but the filtering process requires more monitoring of emails than other products.
